Antique Chocolate Molds and The BEST glitter ever!!

New supplies in my Etsy shop AND New original Antique chocolate mold Pink Sugar Bunnies for Easter 2018! These are my unique design. There are many makers of chalkware but, I am sure you can see that I have put my own unique spin on these darlings. I have just been busy pouring for my Christmas pieces (already??) They take quite a while to dry for paint so, I am getting a jump start!

Marie's Peek-a-BOO theater workshop at K.Marie

A Very BOOtiful workshop in the Glittery Room at K.Marie!!

If you are in the Oregon or Washington area please come and PLAY!!! I am oh so blessed to be teaching a unique soldered art wine glass theater, with a Marie Antoinette and harlequin theme in the Glittery Room at K.Marie in historic downtown Milwaukie June 28th 9am to 4pm!  June classes are Halloween themed and July will be Christmas!! That's a way to get a jump on things!! Ooooh and please scroll down and see the the delightful project the lovely Christy Meyers will be teaching that weekend also! Oooh La La! What fun we will have!!!!

I will teach you how to solder a wine glass to your base, install lights and attach your jumprings with glorious real crystals and "BOO" Harlequin shaped glass with jumprings!

Most supplies are included! You will need to provide a roll of lead free solder, a small vintage "sparkly" piece. I used an old rhinestone earring and cut the post off, easy peasy! Also, please bring some lights (Any mini set of lights will do) I used Darice brand "Moon Lights"

We are going to have a "Spooktacular" time!
To sign up for this workshop please contact:  Kelly Keehner in the Glittery Room at K.Marie

"Glittery Fee" is $95.00 and will be from 9am to 4pm Saturday June 28th! Space is very limited and beginners are enthusiastically welcome!! I prefer to keep my workshop sizes to a minimum to insure that each student leaves with a finished piece and personal 1 on 1 time with me.
We will have to put some "pep in our step" with 7 hours finishing time but, every little thing is gonna be alright! (Bob Marley said so) :)

That VERY weekend my most talented friend Christy Meyers will also be in the Glittery Room teaching her sweet sculpted Pumpkin man as well! Sculpting will begin Friday the 27th and you will finish up this little darlin' on Sunday the 29th!! Make a weekend of it!! XOXO Melissa

Isn't he just the "cat's pajamas??"

Upcoming Class at K.Marie! Phew, it has been awhile!

Oh my goodness, I almost didn't remember my sign on! Good thing it is the same as my Gmail account!!

Where has the time gone?? (Don't answer that!!)

Well, thankfully I have been creating!! The lovely ladies of K.Marie wanted a simple soldered pendant class so, that is what they are getting!!

Please join us at K.Marie in Milwaukie, Oregon May 17th for your choice of ONE or TWO different workshops!

Either class is wonderful for beginners! You may make the Pretty Parisian Pendants and/or the
"Mon Cherie" Mini shrine an homage to Kelli's sweet Mama... Kelli purchased a piece very similar for her Mom and it is one of the many lovely things that Kelli treasures in her beautiful store and studio!

If you would like more information on classes please go to the K.Marie site and sign up! I would love for you to join my mailing list, won't you click the link from the top of my page?
I hope to see you there! I was very blessed and so grateful that a little birdie told Kelli that I was local and would most likely be willing to teach soldering classes at K.Marie! It has been a blast ever since! I love to teach and share, I was lucky enough to learn the art and develop a lovely friendship from Terri Brush  Don't miss Terri's Art Camp if you are in the Oregon or Washington area!

I hope to see you at K.Marie May 17th! While you are in the area, check out her sister Kimmi's store Enchante' and you will be in for a TREAT! (In more ways than one!!!)

My New Nest~Adventures in DIY

I recently moved. Yes my very own 700 square feet :) I know, sounds teeeeny tiny but, what it lacks in space it makes up for in charm.

It is a basement apartment in a beautiful Victorian home on the historical registry. So, it is a little cold down there (even with the heat up) but, it is mine all mine...

I wanted to be "frugal" when it came to furnishings and "what nots"...I have that complex, you creative types know the one.... The "Oh, I can make that, I am not going to buy it" syndrome!!!

Most of the time, in the end it might just be cheaper to purchase it, however, not this time! With a little help (okay, a LOT of help from The Graphics Fairy and a freebie cabinet that my Mom had redone years ago (when she was going through her Prim days) 2.00 in paint from the Home Depot and Voila, my sweet little bathroom WITHOUT a medicine cabinet now has this beauty!! Toot toot, I am going to Toot my own horn!!!I mean, what was a girl to do? You have to have somewhere to hide the Excedrin!!

After:
Gel medium, ink jet images reversed, a little old knob I had in my craft stash and Golden Soft Gel matte medium
Hey, if I can do it, ANYONE can!!!

Before Pic 1:
Mom had replaced the corny graphics (see before pic 2) with a little ticking and some chicken wire... Hey, like I said, she was going through her primitive phase, hahahahaha

After removing what seemed like 1000 staples from the chicken wire and fabric, it was back to it's original "glory" (well, Mom had sanded off some of it prior to covering it)

Before Pic 2:

The Graphics Fairy has the most wonderful ideas and tutorials available! I used her graphics and followed the Transfer Tutorials she has on her blog. She lovingly restores old images and the best part? She graciously let's you use them for FREE!!!!!! Stop by and see what Karen and her crew are up to and come back and see me, next is the bathroom shelves, well they are exposed? What do you expect me to do? Roll my towels and line up my nail polishes? NO Way, wait till you see my cute crates, but we will save that for another Brag Monday!!!!

XOXO Melissa
